Chikafumi Yokoyama joined ReproCELL Inc. in 2004 as a general manager of the business development division and became Chief Executive Officer in 2005. He has been responsible for new product management, alliance, and fund raising. He also participated in establishing a Stem Cell and Drug Discovery Institute in which human ES cell research is carried out for the purpose of drug discovery and toxicity testing applications. From 1996 to 2004, Dr Yokoyama worked for McKinsey and Company Inc. as a management consultant and then for Sumitomo 3M, a subsidiary of 3M, as an R&D leader. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Tokyo University in 1996.

CTO
Yasuyuki Asai joined ReproCELL in 2006 as General Manager of research. He became CTO in 2007. Dr Asai has been instrumental in developing many of the technologies that underlie ReproCELL’s products. After graduating from Faculty of Biological Pharmacology, Kyoto Pharmaceutical University in 1993, Dr Asai joined Tanabe Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. In 1999, whilst working at Tanabe, he completed his Ph.D. in Faculty of Biological Pharmacology and in 2000 undertook a two-year Tanabe-sponsored postdoctoral fellow of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
